Are you feeling scared?!

  • rec 2 rec

Have too many good recruiters got scared? I know people are staying in crappy cultures and I know there are far better companies in the area, I don’t really get why they won't move?

Perhaps you think it’s the same everywhere, or worse, and given some of the toxic cult-like cultures out there, these beliefs can be powerful. It’s your job after all, moving companies is never without stress and risk, nor should it be taken lightly.

But it does matter, staying in the wrong company for too long really will effect your career.

The market matters, your manager matter, your commission scheme matters - you catch my drift, from training to culture it all really matters!

You can be a great recruiter in the wrong business and look average, and then move into a better company with better training, better culture, better leadership, a stronger commission scheme and a more ambitious team, and suddenly your career can look very different. We've seen this time and time again.

I really, really want recruiters to do well, I want people to make life-changing money, to feel proud and use this industry as a vehicle to create options, but I do think too many people are treading water and calling it stability, when really it might be fear.

Is it a confidence issue, is it a market issue, is it loyalty, or have too many recruiters got scared?
