Meet Sam – All-Round Legend
Sam launched Meseno Adventures to provide authentic and ethical travel experiences across Tanzania.
We’re proud to partner with Sam not only for our Kilimanjaro climbs but also in supporting the growth of his travel business.
After our summit, we enjoyed a two-day safari with his team — see photos below!
Our vision is to see more travellers and companies choosing ethical adventures with local businesses that are committed to giving back to their communities.
Sam not only runs Meseno Adventures but also supports people in his own community.
He introduced us to Eline’s Story, one of the most powerful examples of the impact local businesses can have.
Meseno Adventures
Giving Back – Eline’s Story
Eline is a blind mother living near Kilimanjaro. She has a daughter, Vincencia, and a son, Valerian — who was also born blind and lives with autism. Eline has been left to raise both children alone, without a source of income.
Through Sam’s introduction, we’ve been able to enrol Vincencia in private school, provide healthcare, and build a micro-farm on Eline’s land to support her path toward financial independence.
Valerian, now four, has not yet been able to access a school that can meet his needs, and we hope to raise funds to provide specialist support for him at home.
Eline’s courage and determination continues to inspire us all.
We look forward to visiting her and the children again on our next trip — a powerful reminder of why ethical travel and community support matter so deeply.
