Delivery Consultant – Alternative Investments

Location: Mayfair, London
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 + commission

The Opportunity

My client is a highly specialised boutique executive search and recruitment firm focused exclusively on Alternative Investments. The business has spent over 25 years cultivating deep, trusted relationships with the world’s most prestigious hedge funds, alternative investment managers, and leading banks.

They have an unrivalled network and track record of placing high-impact professionals — from junior analysts and traders through to heads of Europe — into funds and institutions where they have gone on to shape the businesses they joined.

This is not a high-volume, transactional environment. It is a boutique, research-led firm where credibility, delivery excellence, and market intelligence are prized above all else.

The Role: Delivery Consultant

You’ll play a critical part in supporting their senior consultants by managing the end-to-end delivery of mandates across Alternative Investment markets.

• Conducting in-depth research and market mapping across Hedge Funds, Private Credit, Distressed Debt, Performing Credit, Real Estate, High Yield, and Equity Arbitrage.

• Identifying, engaging, and qualifying high-calibre candidates from Analyst through to Portfolio Manager level.

• Building relationships with some of the most respected investment professionals globally.

• Preparing candidate shortlists, briefing clients, and supporting the smooth running of retained and contingent searches.

• Collaborating with consultants on deal execution, learning from some of the most respected recruiters in the space.

What They’re Looking For

This role suits someone with a background in recruitment or financial services who has a genuine interest in banking, hedge funds, and global markets. Perhaps you’re already in financial services recruitment but want to step up into a more specialist, high-value market — or you’re in a delivery role but want the credibility of working alongside seasoned recruiters in a true search-style environment.

Ideal profile:

• Experience in recruitment (any Financial Services, Investment Banking, or Professional Services markets considered).

• Strong research, delivery, and candidate management skills.

• Russell Group Graduate

• Curiosity and interest in markets — reading the FT, following hedge fund news, keeping up with investment trends.

• Ambition to grow in a boutique firm with clear leadership opportunities as the founders plan a 10-year succession strategy.
